How to set standard Olympic course at PKSC using GPS "WayPoints"
Using GPS "WayPoints" is a very useful tool in as it gives accurate leg lengths and hence correct angles. This also offers repeat-ability. Also opens up possibility of adjusting course lengths to influence race time (shorten up for light wind etc). As with all sailing courses it is important to set the top mark directly into the wind and also that course leg lengths will fit into available water (avoiding any shallow water, shore or any other obstructions). Most GPS's have a "Way Point" function and depending on GPS model selections may vary slightly to access. If not familiar it is recommended running thru how to use GPS with an experienced person. See attached for reference information.
